Hello everyone, I work for a homebuilder underneath a development company that oversees the crews that are on the development.
I have heard from a number of the concrete guys (laborers to foremen) that their working and living conditions are horrible. Horrible is an understatement. From my understanding, they bring the workers in from Mexico during the summer and cram them into an apartment that isn't big enough to house them
"They'll shove twelve guys in a two-bedroom apartment" - Forman
They are also forced to work 12-14 hours a day (including weekends) and cannot stop under the threat of being sent back to Mexico. All the ones I have talked to are legally allowed in the U.S., via citizenship or work visas. They are NON-UNION
Fortunately enough I am fluent in Spanish, so I can communicate with the workers, I was considering telling them to take pictures of their housing and do their best to record their foreman berating them for not working fast enough, however, I'm not a lawyer. Could this turn into something that could be taken to court? I'd like to see justice for these young men.

So this is a weird crazy story/summary of life this far. I (28M) feel like I have been living my life with an absurd amount of masking. I set out on a spiritual awakening journey when I was 18 and started college, the first time I had ever been truly alone and truly started feeling that deep sense of loneliness. Which is what kicked in my spiritual awakening, by asking questions about who I was, why was I here and why did I have such a deep unexplainable yearning for "home" which was not "physically" attainable. Not a yearning for home in the sense of being with my family, but a deep, deep cry out from what I felt was my soul essence.
Fast forward through some heavy years of partying, clubbing/going to shows, drugs and alcohol. At 23, I met who is now my wife and the mother of my/our amazing daughter and through the 5 years we've been going through this human experience together, we both got a lot deeper and a lot more "serious" about expanding and opening up our spiritual bodies. We were kind of forced into delving DEEP into it because our first true "interactions/dates" were so deeply rooted in spirit that we (very fortunately) discovered/realized that we are cut off the same soul cloth and are infact soulmates/twin flames or whatever floats your boat for descriptions regarding life partners.
We have learned and discovered a lot about ourselves as well as a newly found perception of the outter world (largely influenced emotionally, spiritually, mentally by Ram Dass, Jack Kornfield, Dale RamDev. . . Spiritual Adepts/teachers, guides etc.) This absolutely transformed a lot of our inner and outer world (through disciplined routines and practices) for the better in a very beautiful way. Then in 2021 we moved to Idaho on an instinctual as well as an impulse decsion to be closer to my wife's side of the family out there, and our intuitive feeling of needing to go to the northwest part of the country. When we got there we were almost instantly met with extreme adversity and complications with my wife's health, our marriage, and life as a whole. So needless to say it was not the "change" we had in mind. Though we now see it all as the change/step that was necessary for self discovery and growth personally, together and as a while family unit. In late 2021 I was waiting for an orientation class for a new job and had to wait until the next class (2 weeks out) so while waiting two weeks, we needed money to eat and keep life running so I decided since I had a drill and basic tools I'd to do some side work/odd jobs (honey do list kind of things) to bring in whatever cash I could. This ended up blowing up in a beautiful way and I ended up quitting that new job on orientation day to set off and fully jump into the possible opportunity of working for myself. Now almost 2 years later and I'm still doing my own thing (bathroom remodels, tile, carpentry and flooring) and it's been amazing.
We also recently moved back home to Colorado and since we've been back it's been a struggle for a miriad of reasons, but the one struggle that I've found myself dealing with the most and is the heaviest emotion, is my own personal sense of validation. I actually just (today) realized that I have been chasing external validation for as long as I can remember (about 3-4 years old) While thinking about the current slump that I'm in I started thinking about what makes me "feel okay/feel like me" and most of those things are (now) related to my work. Building things for people, fixing things, repairs, custom furniture, etc. And then being validated by a "good job, we are so happy!" Kind of thing from my clients. Thinking further back before this and it's all been an ongoing search for validation through my external world. My party phase, the validation came from my knowledge of drugs, artists, previous party stories and a whole bunch of unhealthy methods and vices. Before that, through the beginnings of highschool getting into heavy drug use (psychedelics, weed and cocaine/stimulants) and partying I was a hardcore WoW gamer (big time raider in a progressive guild that sought to be the best in the game) and always sought out to be the best in my guild (for whatever role character I was playing). Seeking validation through being the best gamer. Before that I was obsessed with skateboarding, from age 9-16 or 17 I would strive to be the best skater in my school, at the skate park (within reason) and from my parents. I was small town sponsored (nothing really fancy, just discounted apparel/gear and occasionally a free board) And before that, but also mixed in through the years until about 20, I was huge on drawing mythical/fantasy creatures and characters and was pretty damn good. But looking back at all the "phase of interest transitions" I see one common goal. External validation through an attempt to prove myself in an outward expression/skill.
I was also looking back at the overall "emotional neglect" that I got from my parents (mom and step dad, bio dad left the picture when I was about 1, 1/2 ) And not to say that they were absolute assholes or anything like that, but they were very young (I was 2 and my mom was 18 when she met my step dad) and learning life for themselves. So I know that they didn't "intentionally" emotionally neglect me or invalidate me. But I wasn't good at the things they wanted me to do (playing tee ball/baseball as a toddleyoung kid) because my step dad was a huge baseball guy. And because I wasn't into or good at the things they wanted to see me do, I found my own interests, independently and amongst my friend group. However this caused parental tension because I was (in their eyes) becoming a hoodlum. Never got the acknowledgement or 'parental praise and proudness' from skating, drawing, playing WoW (step dad played too), obviously not for partying and doing drugs, but not even now. Not even as a 28 year old married man running my own business and father to a beautiful 3 year old daughter. Most of my side of the family disagrees with "entrepreneurship/self employment" because it isn't as "stable" as a corporate box job. - According to them, even though they've all been laid off at some point or another from corporations that are "never going anywhere, we have job security for life".
Sorry, tangent rants aside! I am now facing an immense amount of emotional pain/flashbacks for the lack of validation I have within myself. I am able to see and recognize the immense amount of growth I've undergone and the fact that I didn't die from drugs and partying and pushed through all of that to get where I am now. And I see that I have a shit ton to validate my own worth, I understand the growth that I've undergone and will continue to go through, but I absolutely struggle with giving myself credit, feeling okay with where I am. I can't help but feel like I'm not doing enough and always feel like there is something to do.
This morning I recognized that as an issue of control, and when I don't have the ability to control my volume/standard of output with "things to show" whether it be through work, hobby projects or anything else where I can do/build/repair something for someone. I get extremely depressed. And only really feel 'okay' when I'm doing things. I see this as a trauma wound that has deepend through my years and has gone essentially completely unacknowledged within myself. Until our TRUE spiritual journey began 5 years ago. I do not want to be mentally controlled or enslaved to the inner ego narrative that I'm not doing enough, but I have no idea how to truly accept myself. Accept who I was, who I am and who I'm becoming. I feel like I've just gotten so good at distracting myself by staying busy and constantly seeking validation through helping others that I have no idea who I actually am. I feel like I've been living the biggest lie ever and I've deceived everyone in my life but mostly myself. When I truly sit and think about what I truly enjoy for myself, I can't think of anything. Aside from the cliche of 'being with my family' (wife and daughter) which does truly bring me happiness. But I can't live in or hold on to "those moments" forever. And outside of them, or doing something for someone to give me that pat on the back, I do not have a damn clue who I am.
And I know that who I am is a culmination of everything I've done and am becoming. But that's still only validated through the external. And I know ram Dass would tell me to just let go and release the inner narrative to what is and just be in/of loving awareness. But, he too struggled with identity. Struggled with feeling like a phony and seeking external validation through experiences or services.
So if you made it this far, and have either evolved passed this state/level of emotional consciousness and awareness or you too are feeling the same. I'd love some tips, tricks suggestions or anything for how to help get through this obstacle of the human experience.
And because it was pretty long, and I jump around in here, if there's anything anyone wants further detail or clarification on, I'd be more than happy to attempt to fumble a rambling story again.

hi there! so i really don’t know if this is the right place for it and it’s kind of a lot. but i need some advice on how to proceed.
basically, i am a young woman and i’ve fallen victim to somebody who i think is leaking my photos and videos online. in the past, i briefly had a pornhub account where i posted some things myself, but i have since deactivated it.
a few months ago i got a message from a random number asking if this was a sugar baby. i decided to mess around with them but i said no, it isn’t. they then asked if i was a female and if i had a cash app. i’ve been struggling with money for a while and probably stupidly gave him my cashapp, which was under a pseudonym. he then proceeded to send me $200. i was taken aback bc that is a lot of money for me right now. he said if i sent him some pics and videos he’d send me more. he even sent me a picture of “himself”, i don’t know if it was actually him.
over the next few days he sent me another $100 (after i sent a video and some pictures in return. yes i know i’m stupid but i needed the money). then one morning he just stopped responding, we were talking over text and also on snap. i got a bit nervous and messaged him on snapchat asking him to delete the videos and pictures of me (yeah i know i’m dumb). he didn’t respond until like two weeks later saying simply “not trynna get exposed right”. that scared me a little so i deleted and blocked his snapchat and blocked his number. fast forward to this morning, another two weeks later and i get a phone call. i didn’t think anything of it, just ignored it since it was a number i didn’t recognize.
then, i received three texts from the number. the first was a message saying “this u?” with a link to a textnow video. it was a video of me performing a sex act, the one i had sent to the “sugar daddy”. the next text was a screenshot of my face from the video.
i ignored this even though i was kinda shaken, and then like an hour later he tries to call me again, and texts me “used to be on pornhub.”
i honestly don’t know what to make of all this. i went on sextortion and used that tool that’s supposed to help the video / pictures stop spreading but i’m not sure what to do now. the pornhub thing really creeped me out bc it’s been like three years since i had that account. how would he have known about it? the video he sent was not posted to my pornhub account.
i’m also confused because HE sent me money. nothing ever happened with it. my card wasn’t charged back. wow as i’m typing this the number is calling me again. can i please just have some advice? i know this is stupid i just want someone to tell me what might be going on and what i could do. thank you.
update: they have just messaged me again saying my past place of work. i’m very concerned.

I stopped growing by age 9, and by age 10 a full body X-ray showed all the growth plates had fused. I had my first period at 13. All of my limbs are perfectly proportional, and I have no other physical abnormalities. There is no familial history of short stature. I am 4'9". My mother was 5'4", and apparently my father was about 5'10" or 5'11" according to what my mother told the doctors (I did see a picture of him, and he looked to be about that height). I was wondering if anyone had any new insights into what genetic mutations could have caused my ISS as I love genetics and have always wondered what went wrong since genetic testing has become more common and more studies have been done since I was a kid?
Additional info: I had no ideas with obesity or having any extra body fat. I could (and at 35 now still can) eat as much of anything I wanted, and never gain any extra weight from body fat. This is relevant because some studies mention obesity in early growth plate closure.
Some studies also mention having a low birth weight with early plate closure. I am not sure I qualify as having low birth weight, so maybe you could tell me? I was a low 6 lbs, but I was also 15 days late. My heart did stop before they were going to induce labor, but luckily my mom was already at the hospital to get labor induced and they just did an emergency cesarean. So, I was barely 6 lbs, but also 15 days after my due date. I suppose I was quite small because my mother told me baby shoes were too big so she used doll shoes, but I don't know how long I was. I apparently also had severe anemia problems that needed treated after birth and I think I may have had to stay in the hospital for it. I don't know I qualify to having low birth weight given or if other information given may be relevant, and was wondering if anyone had insight about that.
Another factor I wonder could have influenced anything and wonder if anyone had insight on:
When I was maybe 6 or 7 my appendix ruptured, but my mom didn't take me to the hospital until I was already so septic that I was circling the drain and the doctors didn't know if I would survive. They took that nasty ruptured appendix out obviously, and I spent 3 weeks in the hospital on IV antibiotics and getting various injections. I was a child so I have no idea what all I was on, but I know the sepsis was severe enough that I was circling the drain when I was brought in so I assume I was on a lot of high dose antibiotics for those weeks. I wonder if they may have used Fluoroquinolone or Moxifloxacin since their connective tissue damage has been associated with degeneration of the matrix and chondrocytes in the epiphyseal growth plates. Keep in mind we may not have known not to use them back then as it would have been the early 1990s in a very rural small-town hospital. So, could severe sepsis or high dose antibiotics they may have used have caused the premature growth plate fusion? I do know I was 50 lbs after surgery and stayed 50 lbs for a year afterwards.
Another one last factor I will throw in here is that I did end up getting diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos type 3 in my young 20s after the development of gastroparesis, POTS, and complications of being hypermobile (yeah, none of my sports injuries ever healed and I was rock climbing so much that ligaments in my wrist just gave up an tore from "overuse" when I was at work one day... lame). I do see a specialist gastoenterogist who specializes in the treatment for the specific subset of EDS3 patients who are women usually diagnosed in young 20s with issues being gastroparesis, POTS, and the hypermobility; and, apparently our gastroparesis can be treated in unique ways specific to that group. I have tried and been on many medications for gastroparesis, but the most effective is levothyroxine 50 mcg. No, I don't have hypothyroidism; but, for my specific subset mentioned only, it is very effective for our gastroparesis. I wonder if my connective tissue disorder could have caused early pre-puberty growth plate fusion? I know some issues in growth plate fusion have to do with the parathyroid hormone, and just think it's odd I do take a thyroid hormone is the most effective treatment for my gastroparesis.
Does anyone have ANY insight into what I stopped growing 4 years before puberty? It kinda sucked to hear at the the time, but now I'm just medically curious...

I worked as a park ranger in Northern Alaska for years, from when I was in my early twenties until my mid-thirties. At first, when I took the job, I was trying to escape, but over time, I learned to love it- the endless wilderness, the snow-capped mountains, the muffled way everything sounded during blizzards. With no light pollution, the stars up there look like tiny chips of diamond. And during the winter, the Northern Lights roll in, twisting and shimmering in strange, alien colors.
But a few years ago, things got much worse. People up here have started to go missing at an alarming rate. And I started having strange experiences around the park and the nature preserve.
One of the strangest parts of my story started on a freezing, dark night in 2018. I was on a snowmobile out in a terrible blizzard. The conditions were nearly to the point of being impassable. The snow was falling so thick and fast that it looked like a moving, shimmering wall of white on all sides of me.
Another ranger, a huge, lumbering man named ‘Ace’ Acosta, pulled up behind me on a second snowmobile. I looked at him, standing six foot six with majestic peaks stretching up into the night sky, and thought about what a great picture this would make. As I was looking around, I saw the faint tracks in the snow. Ace’s snowmobile lights were pointed in their direction, and I had been standing almost on top of them without realizing it- which is fairly easy to do when a few inches of snow are falling every hour.
At first, I thought it was the frozen tracks of an injured animal. I saw the drops of blood soaked into the superficial ice first. Following their direction with my eyes, I realized there were footprints pressed into the frozen crust leading away from me and towards the flat stretch of the tundra. I squinted, getting down on my knees and leaning inwards. I didn’t want to trample the tracks.
I quickly realized I was looking at human footprints- naked human footprints. But who would be out here in December in -40 degree winds without shoes? They would die rapidly out here. Just for me to drive across the tundra on a snowmobile required me to wear three jackets, long-johns, snow pants, thick jeans, a ski mask and multiple layers of socks and gloves with hand-warmers. I wore special water-proof boots with composite toes that wouldn’t freeze like steel toes. And despite all of this, I was still cold.
I moved forward, and saw handprints mixed in with the footprints, all of them bloody. The ice was thick enough to slice open human hands and feet, undoubtedly. The logical conclusion was unshakable- someone had crawled through here, maybe naked, on all fours, and their frozen body would be somewhere up ahead. I sighed, turning to Acosta. He still stood in the same position, his face covered in a red scarf with only his eyes showing. I saw one ice-covered eyebrow raise questioningly.
“I think we got us a body somewhere nearby,” I said, getting back on my snowmobile and starting it. He did the same.
“What kind of freaked-out tweaker would be walking around here without clothes on?” Ace asked in his deep baritone. “Man, I need a hit of whatever that guy’s on. I’ve got two sweaters and two winter jackets on, and I’m still cold. Eh, Kelton? Eh? What do you say?” He started elbowing me jokingly. I frowned, not responding.
Ace always had a smart aleck remark. He was next to me when I was interviewed for this job originally, down at the recruitment center in Washington state. The old lady doing the interviewing was a bloodless, angry-looking specimen of a woman with huge glasses that magnified her eyes twice over. She spat out each of the questions like a drill sergeant talking to fresh meat in the Army.
“Are you a member of any organized religion?” she had asked brusquely. Ace shook his head.
“No, ma’am, but I am a member of a disorganized religion,” he said. “We call ourselves ‘the Servants of the Old Ones’. We’re waiting for the ancient reptilian gods at the bottom of the ocean to awaken. So far, however, they haven’t responded to any of our texts.” I thought about this as I revved the engine twice, a sign that I was about to pull off and that he should stay close.
We took off, going slow and following the tracks as close as possible without destroying them. But the tracks just kept going, the bloodstains seeming to grow fainter as we moved forward- and strangely enough, the distance between the hand and footprints also started to get longer, as if someone were running on all fours and speeding up. We were nearing the beginning of the forest of evergreens when I saw a white flash just up ahead.
The thing that ran from us was humanoid, but I knew at once that it was no person. It ran on hands and feet, totally naked, its skin a pale, lifeless white color. It turned its head towards the lights of the snowmobiles briefly. I saw a hairless creature with skin that clung tightly to its simian body, its lips permanently pulled back from its mouth as if they were eaten away. Underneath it showed mottled black and red gums covered in thick, clotted blood. Its nose appeared as little more than two irregular holes, and its eyes- they reflected the light of the snowmobiles, like the eyes of a raccoon or opossum. They were huge and sunken in its starving, monstrous face.
And I saw what was leaving the bloody trails. The creature was, as far as I could tell, totally uninjured. In its permanently grinning mouth, between rows of crooked, sharp, blood-stained teeth, it held the body of an infant. The baby’s head lolled from side to side, the neck seemingly broken, and blood dripped constantly from its mouth and nose. It had deep puncture marks in its tiny parka, half-rings of teeth marks that must have broken its ribs. The bloodstains on the snow were becoming fainter, because the heart was no longer pumping in the body of the one leaving them.
I had a loaded rifle inside my snowmobile, and kept a 12-gauge shotgun slung around my back, mostly in case of bear or moose attack. I always kept the shotgun loaded with slugs, which were, in my experience, the most versatile ammunition for stopping any large animal. The .308 might take down a polar bear, at least with a good headshot, or it might just piss it off on a bad day. But a shotgun slug to the head or heart will stop any bear or moose in its tracks.
Of course, this was no polar bear ahead of me. For all I knew, it was something far worse. I looked down at the speedometer to see I was going twenty miles an hour, in the dark, in a blizzard. And yet this strange humanoid creature was still losing us, its seemingly never-ending store of energy still sending it forward at a superhuman speed. Its pale, bony legs and arms pumped back and forth so fast that they were just a blur. It kept its sharp teeth around the nape of the dead infant’s neck, like a mother cat carrying its young.
I kept one hand on the steering wheel while trying to free the strap of my shotgun over my head. I slowed down below twenty, and the creature responded by going even faster. It was making a break for the mountain forests that started only a few hundred feet away. I got the gun free and quickly stopped the snowmobile and raised it. I centered the sights, taking a deep breath to steady myself, and fired.
I missed, though I don’t know by how much. Shotguns had the drawback of being significantly less accurate at further distances than the rifle. But by the time I got the .308 out, I knew the creature would have long since disappeared in the thick brush and trees. By this point, Ace had also stopped and opened fire, but the creature had already gone.
“God damn!” Ace screamed. “That was one fast motherfucker. I can’t believe he got away after all that.” I heaved a deep sigh.
“I think we better go find out where he got that baby from,” I said. “We might have a lot more corpses on our hands than we realize.”

We found a radio in the snowmobile and messaged in what had happened, or at least the basic gist of it. I left out the part about naked, half-human abominations, and said that it was an unknown animal. There wasn’t much law enforcement up in these parts, because, hell, there were barely any people. The rangers as well as fish and wildlife agents regularly worked with the police officers in small towns, at least those that had police officers. Dozens of the local tribal villages had no police at all. These people would come to forest rangers and fish and wildlife agents most of all, and were always some of the county’s friendliest and most helpful residents.
By the time we got back to the original blood-stained footprints, the snow had covered up the tracks completely. However, based on the direction that the creature had been going and where the tracks had come from, I thought I knew where it might have started. Following the path in a nearly straight line led to the Lutna Peak Trailer Park. Ace and I drove off at max speed across the rolling hills and flat plains, the snow coming faster and heavier now. They say eskimos have dozens of words for snow, and after being a ranger up here, I can say I’ve seen every variation of it a thousand times. This was turning into the kind that was wet with huge flakes and tended to stick to everything. We would probably have to find refuge soon, especially if it got any heavier.
I heard the screaming before I saw the commotion. As we came around the sharp right turn where the dirt road turned into the trailer park, I saw dozens of people out, flitting like gnats around one of the trailers at the back corner of the park. All of the lights were on in that particular trailer, and I saw one woman comforting another who was bent over and crying.
Even though almost everyone knew us here, I pulled out my badge identifying me as a federal law enforcement officer. Up here, all the rangers were technically federal agents, allowed to carry guns and make arrests like typical police, except we were licensed under the Department of the Interior rather than under state law enforcement agencies.
I ran into the trailer, and after one long glance around the place, I knew there was no need to call for any ambulances. Ace followed close behind me, his heavy, thudding footsteps shaking the trailer slightly as he ascended the steps. We said nothing for a long moment. The entire family was dead.
There was blood everywhere, even spotting the ceilings. Most of it had frozen in the cold, and I wondered how long the door had been left open. Body parts were scattered across the floor, an arm in the corner of the room, a head standing up on the kitchen counter, even a random tooth embedded into the sheetrock. The savagery was brutal, and the amount of strength required to carry out such an attack must have been extraordinary.
“I think we’re going to need a lot more people on this than just me and you,” Ace said. I nodded, already bone-tired, and with so much more work to do tonight before I could go to sleep.
We phoned both state and federal authorities in the area. Since much of the land was tribally owned, we had to deal with multiple branches. Eventually we got CSI out there in the middle of a snowstorm, though they had to come from over three hours away. We just secured the scene while we waited, constantly being brought into neighboring trailers where townsfolk would tell us the latest gossip. They also brought us hot coffee and tried to milk us for any information we might have, as they usually did in such situations.
“No, Maggie, honest,” Ace was saying to one old lady wrapped up in an ancient fur coat, “I don’t know any more about it than you do. You can be sure that you’d know if I did.” By that point, police cars were slowly pulling in, one by one. Ace and I told them a simplified version of the night’s events, said goodnight and left the scene to them. I went home and took a scalding hot shower, trying to force the night’s coldness out of my bones. Then I slept deeply, though I had nightmares of that creature’s face turning to me, holding a dead baby in its mouth and marking me with its emotionless, reflective eyes. I didn’t know it then, but that would be the last time I would sleep in a bed for many days.

The state police assigned us an officer the next day, stating they wanted an official representative of their interests involved in the case. It was, by this point, a fairly high-priority case. We didn’t even have many assaults or robberies up here, less likely murders, and the murder of an entire family really stirred up the locals. The fact that the CSI techs couldn’t make heads or tails of it made it even worse. They hadn’t even agreed on whether it was done by humans or animals or a combination of the two, like men with fighting dogs who went berserk. With no leads, they wanted us to go back to where we had seen the creature the previous night and see what we could find.
The police officer who would be tagging us, a woman named Officer Melinda Jansen, had the look of someone who just started a new job, and doesn’t realize how terrible it is yet. She was all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and when she shook my hand, she nearly crushed the bones together under her iron grip. I saw Ace wince slightly when he shook her hand too. When she turned her back, he looked at me with one eyebrow raised, as if he were saying, “What can you do?”
It didn’t take us long to find the spot from the previous night. When we got close to the forest where the creature disappeared, I saw a branch that had been hit by a shotgun blast, and knew we were right on the money. In the daytime, I saw that there was a slight, curving trail through the trees here, maybe an old deer trail. It was just wide enough for us to take our snowmobiles through if we went slow. Occasionally, I would have to get off, being in the lead, and move large branches that lay across the path, but overall it was faster going than I had expected.
The trail followed across the top of a rolling hill, went down and then spiraled up around a mountain. We were high now, at least 7,000 feet above sea level, and the view went for hundreds of miles. It was breath-taking, seeing the frozen white landscape below us, mountains lining one horizon and the Arctic Ocean on another. A couple hundred feet ahead of us, however, the trail just stopped. I saw an opening in the mountain. Slowly bringing my snowmobile up, I looked into it and saw what looked like naturally-formed stone hallways.
The halls sloped down at a steep angle without stairs. An eerie silence radiated from the gradually thickening darkness. The other two snowmobiles cut out right behind mine, and Officer Jansen came walking up, flicking on her LED headlamp. Immediately, I saw a strip of light blue cloth. I walked forward, bending down to confirm what I had already suspected: that this was a piece of the missing infant’s clothing.
“That looks like more than enough cause to me. Let’s do this,” Jansen said. “I’d like to be back before sundown.” She kept walking without waiting for confirmation. Ace and I slung on our packs and turned on our headlamps. I tried using the radios and sat-phone to share our location, but neither was working. The bright, artificial lights showed that the natural stone walls of the hall just kept on descending into the mountain. A warm breeze blew past me, an acrid, sulfuric smell following in its wake.
“This is just a body recovery mission at this point,” I whispered to Ace, giving Officer Jansen a wide space so I could talk. “So why are we potentially risking our lives here? We should be waiting for back-up. We both know that the infant is dead, and has been for a while.”
“You know what I think…” Ace whispered conspiratorially, before a low shriek stopped us all in our tracks and ended conversation. I never did get to hear what he thought. By this point, it was much warmer than it had been outside, and I had the urge to start stripping off jackets. The shrieking had intensified, and was now being answered by dozens of others that surrounded further away in the stone halls.
Officer Jansen had pulled out her gun, which I saw with some astonishment was a .454 Ruger, a large caliber gun with good stopping power. I saw enough magazines strapped around her hips to decimate an entire herd of buffalo. I also pulled off my shotgun, making sure it was filled with lead slugs.
“Do you have any idea what we’re up against?” I asked her. Ace was right behind us, his shotgun already cocked and loaded, the muzzle pointed downwards. I was sweating heavily by this point. The air in the tunnel just kept getting warmer. It felt like I was walking into a sauna. Thin clouds of mist and droplets of hot condensation clung to the smooth granite ceilings. The hall continued to descend at the same steep rate, but now I could see something at the bottom: light.
“Not much more than you, really,” Officer Jansen said with a slight sneer. “My only advice is to shoot first and ask questions later. Kill anything that moves. This place has taken a lot of people already, people who were too fat and slow to watch their own backs…” I squinted as I examined the lights. They seemed to emanate from some sort of organism growing on the stone’s surface.
It wasn’t electrical lights, and it certainly wasn’t natural sunlight. It glowed like the lights of millions of fireflies, a purplish-blue color that painted the granite floors and walls in a totally different light. We were walking as quietly as possible by this point, but I still hadn’t seen anyone. We reached the bottom of the stone halls, where strange mushrooms glowed in the darkness, their mycelium giving off that black-light color everywhere as it stretched across the threshold of the opening. I turned off my LED, seeing my comrades do the same, then poked my head through, looking back and forth.
I saw more of those creatures from before, their lips missing, their skin pale, their eyes huge and rabid. They constantly twisted and snapped their heads to the left or right, as if hearing something only they could perceive. Two were dragging an elk that had been mutilated and torn down the middle. Another was dragging an old man’s dead body forward by the upraised legs. I saw the old man’s head was missing, his wrinkled hands trailing behind the body. I watched where all this activity was headed, then I gasped.
A huge, insectile monster sat lazily against the stone wall as these creatures brought it meat. The monster was so fat that I wasn’t even sure it could stand up. It had a blood-red, chitinous exterior with a hood like a rattlesnake’s that extended around its head. Its teeth trembled together constantly as it shoved more gory offerings into its mouth, sending blood gushing forwards in thick clotted rivulets that dripped down its chin. Its long, thin arms had sharp knife-like digits, and its six legs branched like those of a praying mantis, splayed out on each side of its body, shining a dark red color in the strange light of the chamber. Its belly stretched far in front of its body, and with horror, I saw it drop a cluster of eggs, each as big as a dog. Their surfaces writhed and trembled, looking tight and ready to burst at any moment.
The creatures that fed and cared for this monster rushed over, dragging the eggs to the corner of the warm chamber. I saw that there were dozens more of them over there, and that some had already hatched.
Whatever that monster was, it had already given birth, and now those things were walking around, totally free to kill anything, or anyone, they wanted.

I may be a romanticizer or crazy or just heartbroken or whatever. But anyone else feel emotions so strong to his music it’s almost like you can’t enjoy it ??? A bit about my careeschool...
-I am a published author! I have written 3 books, first one dating back when I was only 13! I was introduced to the publishing industry at a young age, so I went to college to study creative writing. I am currently minoring in creative writing and majoring in psychology! What I plan to do in the future is become a liscensed Expressive Writing therapist and/or create books for the youth to help their mental health!
-I used to have 3 on campus jobs when I was on campus. Library Assistant, tutor, and I work at the gym as a proctor. I am going to be starting a new job soon so I would consider myself a busy person, but I ALWAYS make sure to prioritize my relationships that are serious, and I expect my man to do the same with me.
***I consider myself to be a religious person, and this is something that value. I am Catholic and hope to meet someone who shares my faith! I'm looking for a deep connection, where we can pray together and listen to gospel music!

So my wife and I are newly weds, I am 24 and she's 25. We got married in November 2022 and finally closed on our first house January of this year, 2023. We're both out of college grads working decent jobs in a growing city (Austin, TX). I graduated first before her and moved to this city first, I had to pay full rent on my own when I was living here alone and that ate up about half of my then salary.

My family lives aboard and I only get to see them once every two years or three, lately I haven't been able to travel to them due to some visa issues so they are the ones coming to see me. My wife and I agreed that we would let them stay with us since they are coming from abroad and I only rarely get to see them. This includes my two sisters and both my parents, and we had agreed and talked about this in December. They are going two stay exactly two months, the girls are coming earlier, then my father is only spending the last three weeks of those 8-weeks.

Now, fast forward to April of this year, roughly only 3 months after we got our first house together and living alone, my wife's father (FIL) gets a new job in the same city we are in. He is making roughly what my wife and I make combined, and this is a huge step-up for him. His wife (MIL) also works, shes a realtor and also got other part-time remote work, so she is working roughly two jobs. To say that they have the means is an understatement. He is set to start work in April and they start looking for places to live.

First they decide that they want to buy a house instead of rent; fine, more power to you.
Then they find a house that they really like, lakeside just like their other lake-house, but turns out it is a new-build, and it will take some months to finish (they say 6mo, but they just broke ground in May, and there have been numerous delays due to weather, so I have a feeling it will be more than 6 months, that is just something contractors say to get you to sign).

So they asked my wife if they can stay with us until the house is done, agreeing to leave right before my family comes seeing as they had "booked" our place first. So they would be staying with us for two months (they currently are as I am writing this). When the wife brought this up to me, I obviously couldn't say no; tit-for-tat, if she will deal with my family staying, I will deal with hers.

The problem is it is now 6-weeks into their stay with us and I am starting to get fed-up. I don't feel like I am in my house any more and lost my sense of privacy. Everything we purchase (cause again, we got a new house and needed to buy new appliances, grill, oven, etc) the MIL takes pictures of and shares with their extended family groupchat (she's an oversharer), in that groupchat, one of the aunts LOVES to comment on everything we do, and keeps saying "Oh those lucky DINKS!!" (double income no kids).
I find that quite irksome just flat-out envious/greedy. That term is disgusting. We are two young people just starting out their lives and we are allowed to spend a little on our future house. Most of our old furniture tools are hand-me-downs I got from my college frat-house! Plus, no one told her to date a guy with a previous marriage with kids.

Not to mention, the in-laws don't have any kids in college anymore, haven't for quite some time. And even then, my wife graduated with student-loan debt, I didn't. My parents paid for everything for me, and are doing the same for my two sisters. I feel like that deserves some respect. Even though they earn less that what my in-laws make.

The in-laws are making roughly four-incomes, buying a new lakeside house, got a new car, yet we are the one envied of what little we have when we make purchases. It feels annoying. And I am a very private person, I don't like sharing what we purchase.

We also don't have privacy in the sense that, I can't lay down with my wife on the couch and do nothing. I can't just walk around the house in my underwear or no shirt. We barely get to sit and watch TV now, we have to retreat to our room and watch there. They (in-laws) leave on weekends to go back to their place and then com back Sunday-night. I live for those weekends when they're gone, but during the week it feels like I am confined.

My only worry now is that, after my parents leave in August, they ask to come stay again until their house is done god-knows when...

Am I an asshole for being annoyed at their stay? Shouldn't they just rent out a place until theirs is done, or buy something that is already done? I am willing to accept the situation now, but if they do ask to stay after, I am afraid I will have to say no to my wife.

EDIT: I also want to say that the FIL has helped us fix a lot of things in the house, and installing new toilets. They also did help us move-in. But I feel like that still does not offset the change in our lives when they can very easily rent-out. The MIL also got proceeds ($8k) from the sale our house since she was our realtor, even though I am the one who found the house, toured it, and sent it to her. All she did was the paperwork and the "representation", which wasn't much and frequently made mistakes.

This is a very long post.
I'll post a TLDR at the bottom, and I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I understand it's an awful lot, but it's an awful lot that's happening to us!
Where do I begin... I live on a quiet street. I am a private tennant to a very sweet landlord who knew all of the neighbours on said street as they lived here long before I even moved to this town. All of the neighbours, apart from two houses and my own are privately owned by the occupants. The other two are council owned. I live in a terrace, and the property next to me is the end of the terrace, which is a council house. This is sort of important to state.
We had nightmare neighbours before when we moved in, but after a few (this is an understatement but it's not important right now) noise complaints and constant council pressing, they abandoned the property. It was empty for maybe half a year and then a family had been moved in. A pregnant lady (the main issue), who I shall call Beach, the baby daddy, who I'll call Aggro, and their two sweet twin toddlers. I'm salty I can't think of names right now Beach was actually due that week, which I could resonate with as I was currently pregnant at that time also. We had a nice greeting, sometimes said hello but as I was having a difficult pregnancy I stayed inside a lot.
A couple months pass and the arguments started. This is the downhill part. At first, we thought nothing of it. They have a newborn, things are heated enough, it's stressful, we get it. It was for us when ours finally came along, but then the arguments got violent. The words they used were awful, and I mean AWFUL. He would constantly call her a fat [email protected] (I'm sorry) and any other name under the sun, she would scream at him so loud we couldn't understand most of the words but they weren't nice. The little ones are screaming, crying, generally upset because of this shouting match. It goes on for days on end, and we're getting so stressed having to hear this. We start recording what's going on (learned that from the last ones) and call it in. At first, it was terrifying because when the police would turn up, Beach would scream at the officers. (Like, wtf?) The more they argued, the more we called, and it was getting very heated. There were incidents where they would recklessly drive off, would scream in the street, one time the police had blocked their car in the middle of the street and she was SCREAMING at everyone, saying things like "he's a drug dealer go arrest him" and other weird statements. We then came to learn he actually is a dealer as we've witnessed multiple deals go on, and Aggro has even gone so far as to leave the house with the children unattended briefly to complete a drop around the corner. It's a LOT of drama.
I have multiple recordings of them arguing, of her screaming, of him acting extremely agressive towards her, sounds of walls being punched, their children crying, her abuse towards her children, with some examples being her stating "get out of my bag you filthy brat, where's my weed" said in a very alarming tone... To her toddler. She has said a lot of alarming things to her children which you just, don't say.
The heat gets bigger and she gets more upset that the police are being called on her all of the time, but any time they are called it's always for a legitimate reason, and I always have proof to back it up. The police have reassured me I'm not doing anything wrong, and to keep doing what I'm doing. At this point, the council are also involved, as much as they can be because most of the issues are for the police to handle, but they're still in the loop. This is where the housing layout is important. Because I am their only neighbour, they assume that it is me and only me who is calling. I have spoken with my other neighbours as we get along well, and they also call when they can hear it. One of them even got involved when Beach was screaming and swearing at her little ones to tell her to knock it off because they're only little. The whole street is sick of them at this point.
Fast forwards a little. One of my good friends takes me grocery shopping sometimes in his van. We had set out, baby in her seat in the back and had got as far as one street over. We had stopped at a junction because a tram had just pulled into the stop on the right, and a bus was also parked in the bus stop on the left. We couldn't move, as there was no clear right of way, so we waited, like literally anyone would. And then we hear beeps. Check the rear view mirrors, and we can see the neighbours car behind us getting impatient. The important thing to note, was that we have been sitting waiting for less than 20 seconds. We then hear the engine get loud, and see that the car is pulling up onto the pavement to undercut us, drive out onto the path near the bus stop and then very quickly speed off over two lanes. I wish I had this recorded because it was so illegal and horrid. We laughed it off, didn't think much of it after.
More time passes, and my parents are visiting to see their grandbaby. Beach has a friend over, let's call her Syko. My parents are parked on the road near the neighbours house, as my driveway is full with two cars who have rented my driveway out through Your Parking Space. Where they have parked is not on the neighbours property, nor is it in front of their property, it is about a car lengths behind - usually where visitors park for our street. Not in front of anyone's driveway or anything, just down the side of another person's house on the road. Syko appears a while after my parents do in her car, along with Beach in her own car and parks in front of her house. Syko parks super close to my mum's car and they're both out there revving their engines, causing a lot of noise. I make a side comment to my mum saying oh be careful they don't hit your car, joking about the previous situation. This causes my mum to go out and check on her car, and we don't think anything of it. I'm cooking my baby breakfast, we're just chilling. Then the shouting happens. I step outside with my dad to see what's going on, and the two are screaming at my mum, my mum is stood startled and confused why she's being screamed at. They turn to me and start screaming at me, "who is this?" In which I reply "none of your business?" Because, well, it isn't? They then get childish and start calling all of us names, saying my mum looks like a bloke and other random nonsense. My mum can't pass at this point as we were certain that she'd get attacked. I'm holding my baby the whole time this is happening so I don't have my phone (which I regret to this day) and I'm just trying to diffuse the situation. Meanwhile they're in their cars and Aggro is stood with the cars giving us a sht eating smirk in my direction. All the while, her children are in the back of her car. They're getting under all of our skins at this point as it's a lot of nonsense going on, when we're just trying to get my mum back in the house. She finally gets to my driveway, the cars start to drive off and I flip them the bird as they drive away. *Oh no, big mistake. (I want to add here, it was really hard to stay calm and be the bigger person this entire time. They have caused my family so much greif, and where I suffer from major anxiety it all got to me. I kept a brave face the entire time, but even the police agreed when I admitted my wrongdoing, they agreed it was hard as they got to me, and what they did next wasn't warranted in the slightest.)
Aggro starts shouting at me, asking why I did that. I stayed calm and just replied, or at least tried to, say something along the lines of well, they can say all of that to us and you're upset by a finger, to which I was interrupted with agression. Talking down to me, towering over me (at this point, my mum has the baby) and I'm just looking back up at him expressionless. He walks away to his house, then starts walking back over chanting "go get your man. I'm gonna fight him" over and over again, shouting louder and louder each time. At this point, the girls get out of their cars, abandoning them in the road along with her children in it, and my "man" (who is actually my wife 🏳️‍⚧️) isn't even home, she's in the office. Aggro spots my dad through my front door and says fine I'll fight you instead, to which my mum quickly gives the baby to him. Aggro steps over my wall, and barges into my house. Yes. He's trespassing with intent to assault. Unfortunately the next part is a haze for me, as my anxiety shoots into fight or flight. I'm pulling Aggro out of my house by his coat, which comes off unfortunately. My mum is then also pushing him out of the house, and we hear Beach shout "get your hands off my man", which looking back at, is hilarious. You're not bothered he's entering someone's house, you don't care he belittles and screams those vile words at you. Ugh, anyway. I'm then suddenly graced with two fists to both sides of my head/face and from then, everything sort of gets blurred. From there, the two are on my driveway screaming at myself and my mum "I'm autistic, I'm disabled", and I mean they're both claiming the same thing. I'm sort of ignoring them at this point, I'm emotionally burnt out and just want to get inside. We finally get inside and lock the door, my dad is on the phone to the police already and the two girls flee the scene. I'm an emotional mess now I finally don't have to keep a straight face, I call my wife to get her to come home, it's just awful. There's blood all over my shirt and face as my lobe was ripped open, my face is marked and I'm a wet sobbing mess.
Police turn up, get everyone's story then go to Aggro to get his story. The girls are on the phone to Aggro instead of present, because if they were present they'd have been arrested. I should add, nobody was arrested at all. PO came back stating that Aggro claims he just wanted to talk, I start crying and hold my tongue as I just wanted to scream at that point. I make sure pictures of my face is taken, numbers were exchanged as my parents aren't from around here and they left. From what I gathered happened was the officers spoke to various neighbours to get CCTV and we're going to get in touch to take statements.
The following day, they have a huge domestic. All day, they're shouting at each other. I'm terrified to call it in and just drown it out, but it gets worse and worse as the day goes on, and there was a lot of physical violence e.g. punching walls, slamming doors. The children are terrified. I finally call it in, but I make sure to have a decent recording. The police attend, diffuse and leave. They call me to obtain the recording, I comply, easy peasy. Things get quiet from there on. We wait for the police to get back to us but we're left in the dark. At this point, the council are aware of the situation and are on our side. The domestics start up again, I'm recording it all, calling it in, they come out and diffuse. We're back to before the incident. Fortunately, at this point I have set up CCTV which records 24/7.
Then the aggravation starts again. They're banging on the walls, screaming through to us. They're reversing up onto our driveway as one of the students isn't there at the time. I'm being heckled when I leave the house to take rubbish out. I'm being watched when I'm hanging my laundry out. It's emotionally draining. I can't sleep, I'm not myself anymore. I've developed PTSD from the incident, I'm having panic attacks, I'm in a very low place. I'm keeping the council informed with what's going on as it's unacceptable antisocial behaviour, I'm also updating the police when I can. I file an online report to explain the trespassing and how it's affecting us and a BEAT team comes out to speak with us. Now, I'm stood with my wife showing her what's being said as it's happening. We're both in shock with what's being said, and I'm having a full body meltdown from the adrenaline. I'm frightened, and appauled. I send an email to the original officer explaining what's happened, that this really isn't okay and linked them the recordings. Now we're waiting for a response.

I will also add, after the first nonsense call, the council manager went to speak with her and her specialist at the property, and he called me to explain that she does in fact have autism, and she wants to let me know that she's sorry for what's happened. I replied almost laughing stating that what she has done is not okay, and just because she has autism doesn't mean her actions are justified AT ALL. We now know she really isn't sorry, proven by what followed with what I mentioned above.

It's actually quite appropriate that Joy isn't here, because the writer's didn't give much for Haley to do, and that always irks me. Nathan had a life outside of parenting, and Haley was only shown as a mommy, that's not the problem, it's that they didn't bother giving us a glimpse in how she was juggling everything at that point in her life. Sure, at that point she was a wife, mom and best friend, but she was also studying her ass off to become a teacher! At least in the present Haley and Nathan are getting to a better place.

We had nightmare neighbours before when we moved in, but after a few (this is an understatement but it's not important right now) noise complaints and constant council pressing, they abandoned the property. It was empty for maybe half a year and then a family had been moved in. A pregnant lady (the main issue), who I shall call Beach, the baby daddy, who I'll call Aggro, and their two sweet twin toddlers. I'm salty I can't think of names right now Beach was actually due that week, which I could resonate with as I was currently pregnant at that time also. We had a nice greeting, sometimes said hello but as I was having a difficult pregnancy I stayed inside a lot.
A couple months pass and the arguments started. This is the downhill part. At first, we thought nothing of it. They have a newborn, things are heated enough, it's stressful, we get it. It was for us when ours finally came along, but then the arguments got violent. The words they used were awful, and I mean AWFUL. He would constantly call her a fat [email protected] (I'm sorry) and any other name under the sun, she would scream at him so loud we couldn't understand most of the words but they weren't nice. The little ones are screaming, crying, generally upset because of this shouting match. It goes on for days on end, and we're getting so stressed having to hear this. We start recording what's going on (learned that from the last ones) and call it in. At first, it was terrifying because when the police would turn up, Beach would scream at the officers. (Like, wtf?) The more they argued, the more we called, and it was getting very heated. There were incidents where they would recklessly drive off, would scream in the street, one time the police had blocked their car in the middle of the street and she was SCREAMING at everyone, saying things like "he's a drug dealer go arrest him" and other weird statements. We then came to learn he actually is a dealer as we've witnessed multiple deals go on, and Aggro has even gone so far as to leave the house with the children unattended briefly to complete a drop around the corner. It's a LOT of drama.
I have multiple recordings of them arguing, of her screaming, of him acting extremely agressive towards her, sounds of walls being punched, their children crying, her abuse towards her children, with some examples being her stating "get out of my bag you filthy brat, where's my weed" said in a very alarming tone... To her toddler. She has said a lot of alarming things to her children which you just, don't say.
The heat gets bigger and she gets more upset that the police are being called on her all of the time, but any time they are called it's always for a legitimate reason, and I always have proof to back it up. The police have reassured me I'm not doing anything wrong, and to keep doing what I'm doing. At this point, the council are also involved, as much as they can be because most of the issues are for the police to handle, but they're still in the loop. This is where the housing layout is important. Because I am their only neighbour, they assume that it is me and only me who is calling. I have spoken with my other neighbours as we get along well, and they also call when they can hear it. One of them even got involved when Beach was screaming and swearing at her little ones to tell her to knock it off because they're only little. The whole street is sick of them at this point.
Fast forwards a little. One of my good friends takes me grocery shopping sometimes in his van. We had set out, baby in her seat in the back and had got as far as one street over. We had stopped at a junction because a tram had just pulled into the stop on the right, and a bus was also parked in the bus stop on the left. We couldn't move, as there was no clear right of way, so we waited, like literally anyone would. And then we hear beeps. Check the rear view mirrors, and we can see the neighbours car behind us getting impatient. The important thing to note, was that we have been sitting waiting for less than 20 seconds. We then hear the engine get loud, and see that the car is pulling up onto the pavement to undercut us, drive out onto the path near the bus stop and then very quickly speed off over two lanes. I wish I had this recorded because it was so illegal and horrid. We laughed it off, didn't think much of it after.
More time passes, and my parents are visiting to see their grandbaby. Beach has a friend over, let's call her Syko. My parents are parked on the road near the neighbours house, as my driveway is full with two cars who have rented my driveway out through Your Parking Space. Where they have parked is not on the neighbours property, nor is it in front of their property, it is about a car lengths behind - usually where visitors park for our street. Not in front of anyone's driveway or anything, just down the side of another person's house on the road. Syko appears a while after my parents do in her car, along with Beach in her own car and parks in front of her house. Syko parks super close to my mum's car and they're both out there revving their engines, causing a lot of noise. I make a side comment to my mum saying oh be careful they don't hit your car, joking about the previous situation. This causes my mum to go out and check on her car, and we don't think anything of it. I'm cooking my baby breakfast, we're just chilling. Then the shouting happens. I step outside with my dad to see what's going on, and the two are screaming at my mum, my mum is stood startled and confused why she's being screamed at. They turn to me and start screaming at me, "who is this?" In which I reply "none of your business?" Because, well, it isn't? They then get childish and start calling all of us names, saying my mum looks like a bloke and other random nonsense. My mum can't pass at this point as we were certain that she'd get attacked. I'm holding my baby the whole time this is happening so I don't have my phone (which I regret to this day) and I'm just trying to diffuse the situation. Meanwhile they're in their cars and Aggro is stood with the cars giving us a sht eating smirk in my direction. All the while, her children are in the back of her car. They're getting under all of our skins at this point as it's a lot of nonsense going on, when we're just trying to get my mum back in the house. She finally gets to my driveway, the cars start to drive off and I flip them the bird as they drive away. *Oh no, big mistake. (I want to add here, it was really hard to stay calm and be the bigger person this entire time. They have caused my family so much greif, and where I suffer from major anxiety it all got to me. I kept a brave face the entire time, but even the police agreed when I admitted my wrongdoing, they agreed it was hard as they got to me, and what they did next wasn't warranted in the slightest.)
Aggro starts shouting at me, asking why I did that. I stayed calm and just replied, or at least tried to, say something along the lines of well, they can say all of that to us and you're upset by a finger, to which I was interrupted with agression. Talking down to me, towering over me (at this point, my mum has the baby) and I'm just looking back up at him expressionless. He walks away to his house, then starts walking back over chanting "go get your man. I'm gonna fight him" over and over again, shouting louder and louder each time. At this point, the girls get out of their cars, abandoning them in the road along with her children in it, and my "man" (who is actually my wife 🏳️‍⚧️) isn't even home, she's in the office. Aggro spots my dad through my front door and says fine I'll fight you instead, to which my mum quickly gives the baby to him. Aggro steps over my wall, and barges into my house. Yes. He's trespassing with intent to assault. Unfortunately the next part is a haze for me, as my anxiety shoots into fight or flight. I'm pulling Aggro out of my house by his coat, which comes off unfortunately. My mum is then also pushing him out of the house, and we hear Beach shout "get your hands off my man", which looking back at, is hilarious. You're not bothered he's entering someone's house, you don't care he belittles and screams those vile words at you. Ugh, anyway. I'm then suddenly graced with two fists to both sides of my head/face and from then, everything sort of gets blurred. From there, the two are on my driveway screaming at myself and my mum "I'm autistic, I'm disabled", and I mean they're both claiming the same thing. I'm sort of ignoring them at this point, I'm emotionally burnt out and just want to get inside. We finally get inside and lock the door, my dad is on the phone to the police already and the two girls flee the scene. I'm an emotional mess now I finally don't have to keep a straight face, I call my wife to get her to come home, it's just awful. There's blood all over my shirt and face as my lobe was ripped open, my face is marked and I'm a wet sobbing mess.

I make sure pictures of my face is taken, numbers were exchanged as my parents aren't from around here and they left. My mum is then also pushing him out of the house, and we hear Beach shout "get your hands off my man", which looking back at, is hilarious. You're not bothered he's entering someone's house, you don't care he belittles and screams those vile words at you. Ugh, anyway. I'm then suddenly graced with two fists to both sides of my head/face and from then, everything sort of gets blurred. From there, the two are on my driveway screaming at myself and my mum "I'm autistic, I'm disabled", and I mean they're both claiming the same thing. I'm sort of ignoring them at this point, I'm emotionally burnt out and just want to get inside. We finally get inside and lock the door, my dad is on the phone to the police already and the two girls flee the scene. I'm an emotional mess now I finally don't have to keep a straight face, I call my wife to get her to come home, it's just awful. There's blood all over my shirt and face as my lobe was ripped open, my face is marked and I'm a wet sobbing mess.

Things get quiet from there on. We wait for the police to get back to us but we're left in the dark. At this point, the council are aware of the situation and are on our side. The domestics start up again, I'm recording it all, calling it in, they come out and diffuse. We're back to before the incident. Fortunately, at this point I have set up CCTV which records 24/7.
Then the aggravation starts again. They're banging on the walls, screaming through to us. They're reversing up onto our driveway as one of the students isn't there at the time. I'm being heckled when I leave the house to take rubbish out. I'm being watched when I'm hanging my laundry out. It's emotionally draining. I can't sleep, I'm not myself anymore. I've developed PTSD from the incident, I'm having panic attacks, I'm in a very low place. I'm keeping the council informed with what's going on as it's unacceptable antisocial behaviour, I'm also updating the police when I can. I file an online report to explain the trespassing and how it's affecting us and a BEAT team comes out to speak with us. I explain that whilst we know what they're doing isn't technically illegal there's still intent to upset us. They offer to speak with them, we say no because their presence is enough. We're told to keep doing what we're doing, keep recording, keep calling because it's not okay.
A couple weeks pass and everything is quiet. We're still waiting for the original officer to get back to us but nothing. And then it happens. A huge domestic. Record, call, police arrive. They take the children away (no car seats, just buckle them in the cars, clearly shown on CCTV) and leave her behind. She then storms into her car, carelessly reverses onto my drive, shouts out of her window and then speeds off. We then flee to the station, speak with an officer, all is filed. They said because the threat was indirect they can't help us as it wouldn't hold up in court, but have major sympathy for us as they know it's awful what's going on.
At this point the log against them is huge. I've contacted the NSPCC to update them on what's happening, all of the concerns from the past year and a half, everything. They are taken back by what's going on, they link in with the police and CPS and we're just waiting for them to do what they need to do. The odd domestic happens here and there, call, police intervene, leave. (I should also note, the incident happened two months ago. Two months.) Things have slowed down, I'm trying to get a reply from the original officer but they're on leave, and it turns out they were trying to find any CCTV for the case before they got back to me.

I let them know they are always welcome to chat with us. (Fun fact, wasting police time is a criminal offence). About a week ago they're going off on one again, he's calling her everything under the sun, the kids are crying. I hesitate to call it in at this point because I know there will be repercussions, but I brave it. Police come out, they're all outside talking and I can hear Aggro saying they're wasting their time. Police argue they're not. They leave, whatever.

The officer then explains that apparently at 9:06 I was screaming at the baby and she was crying. I laughed and brought up the baby cam showing she's fast asleep, and showed her my baby sleep tracking app, that she's been asleep since 9am. We both agree it was another nonsense call and move on, I wish her a good day and see her out.
Jump to yesterday, Syko, Beach and the other council tenant from across the road are on their front lawn having a very loud discussion about the incident. I open the ring camera to start recording as what they say could be incriminating and useful, as they were basically admitting to what happened. Syko is going off on one saying she'd happily beat me up, Beach is making us sound like were nonsense calling and that the police don't care about us when we call - which was laughable but they are still admitting to it. The neighbour is lapping up the drama and laughing with them, and then suggests that they post a lit bag full of vodka through our letterbox, pointing towards out door. Now, I'm stood with my wife showing her what's being said as it's happening. We're both in shock with what's being said, and I'm having a full body meltdown from the adrenaline. I'm frightened, and appauled. I send an email to the original officer explaining what's happened, that this really isn't okay and linked them the recordings. Now we're waiting for a response.

I will also add, after the first nonsense call, the council manager went to speak with her and her specialist at the property, and he called me to explain that she does in fact have autism, and she wants to let me know that she's sorry for what's happened. I replied almost laughing stating that what she has done is not okay, and just because she has autism doesn't mean her actions are justified AT ALL. We now know she really isn't sorry, proven by what followed with what I mentioned above.
What the heck do I do. I'm an emotional mess, the police are trying to help as much as they can but it's a long slow process. I can't move house, I'm on a long waiting list for psychotherapy, my wife is afraid to leave the house as her true self in fear of a hate crime as they have previously made a not so subtle side comment about her hair before, it's eating us alive. We're speaking with one of our neighbours who knows the other neighbour who may have gotten the incident on CCTV, but they're too fed up with getting involved with the police which is why it was never submitted in the first place. A lot of mistakes were made, I should have spoken to them sooner to convince them to send us the footage but I also think it was understandable as I'm having to live like a hermit in hopes I'm not targeted by these insane people. We need help, and I don't know who to turn to anymore.

It was for us when ours finally came along, but then the arguments got violent. The words they used were awful, and I mean AWFUL. He would constantly call her a fat [email protected] (I'm sorry) and any other name under the sun, she would scream at him so loud we couldn't understand most of the words but they weren't nice. The little ones are screaming, crying, generally upset because of this shouting match. It goes on for days on end, and we're getting so stressed having to hear this. We start recording what's going on (learned that from the last ones) and call it in. At first, it was terrifying because when the police would turn up, Beach would scream at the officers. (Like, wtf?) The more they argued, the more we called, and it was getting very heated. There were incidents where they would recklessly drive off, would scream in the street, one time the police had blocked their car in the middle of the street and she was SCREAMING at everyone, saying things like "he's a drug dealer go arrest him" and other weird statements. We then came to learn he actually is a dealer as we've witnessed multiple deals go on, and Aggro has even gone so far as to leave the house with the children unattended briefly to complete a drop around the corner. It's a LOT of drama.

I open the ring camera to start recording as what they say could be incriminating and useful, as they were basically admitting to what happened. Syko is going off on one saying she'd happily beat me up, Beach is making us sound like were nonsense calling and that the police don't care about us when we call - which was laughable but they are still admitting to it. The neighbour is lapping up the drama and laughing with them, and then suggests that they post a lit bag full of vodka through our letterbox, pointing towards out door. Now, I'm stood with my wife showing her what's being said as it's happening. We're both in shock with what's being said, and I'm having a full body meltdown from the adrenaline. I'm frightened, and appauled. I send an email to the original officer explaining what's happened, that this really isn't okay and linked them the recordings. Now we're waiting for a response.
Phew that took a long time to write out. I'm sorry a lot of it seems like I'm blabbering, but when everything is put in the same basket, you can see that all of these events are horrible and inexcusable.
I will also add, after the first nonsense call, the council manager went to speak with her and her specialist at the property, and he called me to explain that she does in fact have autism, and she wants to let me know that she's sorry for what's happened. I replied almost laughing stating that what she has done is not okay, and just because she has autism doesn't mean her actions are justified AT ALL. We now know she really isn't sorry, proven by what followed with what I mentioned above.
What the heck do I do. I'm an emotional mess, the police are trying to help as much as they can but it's a long slow process. I can't move house, I'm on a long waiting list for psychotherapy, my wife is afraid to leave the house as her true self in fear of a hate crime as they have previously made a not so subtle side comment about her hair before, it's eating us alive. We're speaking with one of our neighbours who knows the other neighbour who may have gotten the incident on CCTV, but they're too fed up with getting involved with the police which is why it was never submitted in the first place. A lot of mistakes were made, I should have spoken to them sooner to convince them to send us the footage but I also think it was understandable as I'm having to live like a hermit in hopes I'm not targeted by these insane people. We need help, and I don't know who to turn to anymore.
TLDR:
Next door neighbours are having frequent domestic arguments with their children present. We are targeted by them as we call the police when they have these arguments. Young children / infant is present with all of this. Mother is abusive to said children, Father is an drug dealer with serious anger issues. I was attacked outside my home after a parking dispute by them. No CCTV evidence (yet, hopefully). Father trespassed in my home to assault my father but didn't succeed. Continuing domestic violence, continued aggravation towards us. They're getting desperate so call the police about fake incidents at our property. They're trespassing on our property to get a raise out of us but police can't intervene. Whole street is fed up with these crazy people living on our street. Council can't help. Mental health is in the pit as I can't leave the house without being heckled or my wife being put at risk for transphobia. We are stuck with what to do.
